The Korean letters at the bottom of the patch stand for Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan, (Brotherhood or school in America where the way of the empty hand defense is practiced). Together with the Chinese symbol for "Moo", the Korean letters remind us of the Korean and Chinese influences that played in the development of Tang Soo Do.
